The taboo regarding specs in society is slowly diminishing. It used to be tradition that specs were something which were only worn after marriage, but now we acknowledge that to sustain a healthy relationship, it's important to know what a partenr looks like whilst wearing specs.

Wearing specs in a relationship can take many forms. In some, the emphasis will be solely on both members of the relationship wearing specs. In other situations, the man may be the sole specs wearer, and still in others the woman will be the predominant member of the spec wearing community. In recent times, the age of consent for single sex specs wearing relationships has been lowered from 85 to a few minutes after birth. Most however, tend to wait a few years before wearing specs of any kind. Apparantly, the only reason the previous anti-single sex specs laws even existed was due to Queen Victoria being so myoptic as to not be able to focus on specs to see whether they existed. It is now known that at least forty percent of her staff wore specs, a fact which passed her by.

It is difficult to judge a person or a couple solely on specs. There are many more important factors. But still, one cannot ignore the effect specs have on people. in some relationships, it's best to embrace them wholeheartedlt. In others, it tends to be something in the distance which will have to be dealt with at an appropriate time.It's solely a matter of personal preference.
